Holy Trinity Catholic High School, colloquially known as "HT", is one of the newest Roman Catholic high schools in Ontario. The high school is located in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. School uniforms are mandatory during school hours, and courses are conducted in a theological manner. Though it is a Roman Catholic school, the student population has Catholic and non-Catholic components, allowing all to benefit from the courses offered by this advanced learning institution. Students are encouraged to exemplify Canadian values, like the importance of the environment and conservation. Students are also encouraged to think critically on as well as off-campus. Weekly student charities and awareness campaigns cover issues such as domestic violence, local animal shelters, food drives and gift collections. On October 25, 2013, a fire was deliberately set in a girl's first floor washroom. Damage was totaled to be over $75,000. In June 2014, Mr.Humberto Cacilhas was appointed new vice-principal of Holy Trinity to replace Kevin Wendling, beginning September 2014. The Super Cities Walk for Multiple Sclerosis that was held in Simcoe's Holy Trinity Catholic High School raised more than $57,000 in donations. ==Expansion== The school was founded in September 2001, with an initial enrollment of 750 students.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.trinitycatholic.ca/about-us/facts-and-figures )〕 Soon, the school outgrew the main building's original capacity of 1,000 students and an annexe had to be built to accommodate the increase in enrollment. Construction for the annexe began in 2006. John Burroughs, the principal at that time, expected enrollment to peak in the following years. The addition was ready for use in September 2007.〔 Ten classrooms, a food services classroom and a conference room were added to the southwest corner of the school. The addition alleviated the overcrowding that the school was experiencing at that time.
